    This Tour to the East coast of Madagascar from Antananarivo to Sainte Marie is an roadtrip that takes you through some of the country’s most spectacular natural landscapes and fascinating cultural attractions. With its abundant wildlife, stunning natural scenery, diverses cultural experiences, this tour promises you the one of your lifetime adventure that you will never forget.
  The tour begins in Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar
  Step one is Andasibe, where there are two National Parks, home to some of the world’s most incredible wildlife, highlighted by the Indri Indri, the largest species of Lemurs. You will have the opportunity to trek through the lush rainforest, listening to the eerie calls of the Indri, and observing the other fascinating creatures like leaf tailed gecko. Don’t forget the evenning walk to spot some of the night active lemurs and chameleons.
   Step two, after exploring Andasibe, you will travel throug the unique natural scenery following the RN2 to Manambato, where you embarks to the Pangalane Canal, a network of lakes and canals that runs parallel to the east coast of Madagascar. Along the way, you will witness the unique lifestyle of the local people who use the canal for fishing, transportation and daily life.
  Next up is the Palmarium, a private reserve located in a banks of the Pangalane Canal. Here you will have the chance to see some of the rarest and endangered species of Lemurs, including the Aye Aye, the Black and White Ruffed Lemur. In addition to the Lemurs, the reserve is also a home to a variety of reptiles and amphibians such as the tomato frog.
  The next step is the boat transfer back to Manambato, and driving again through the Rn2 to Sonierana Ivongo, for an another boat transfer to Sainte Marie Island.
  Finally your tour will conclude on the stunning  Sainte Marie Island, a tropical paradise located off of the east coast of the Island. Here you can relax, on the island’s pristine beaches or soak up the unique culture and history of the island. The island is also home to a number activities such as snorkeling and whale watching during the right season from July to September.

  • After breakfast, depart for Andasibe National park
  • En route stop at Peyrieras reptile reserve to see various of reptiles
  • Continue to Andasibe, check into your hotel
  • In the late afternoon, take a guided night walk in Andasibe area, to spot some of the nocturnal lemur species.


Visit of Analamazaotra National park

  • Early start after breakfast, when wildlife is more active. Driving straight to the national park Analamazaotra,  meeting with the specialist local guide
  • Explore the magic of the fauna and flora in the park.
    Target lists: Indri indri, diademed sifaka, brown lemurs, bamboo lemurs, crested ibis
  • Learning about the wildlife of the park
  • Back to the hotel in afternoon
    Evening walk at the end of afternoon, to spot some night active animals.
  • Early start after breakfast, driving to Mantadia national park, 17kms from Andasibe, to experience the majestic Indri call.
  • Exploring the primary forest with your specialist guide who has the ability to explain you about the exceptional Nature of Mantadia.
  • In the afternoon, possibility to visit the lemurs island to get closer to the lemurs.

  • After breakfast, driving to Manambato, appointement for a boat transfert to the reserve Palmarium
  • In the afternoon, depart to Palmarium following the Pangalane Canal, observing the life style of local people.
  • Cheking to The hotel Akanin’ny nofy, the nest of dreams.


  • Spend the day exploring the reserve with your native guide.
  • Take a guided hike through the reserve’s trail and see more lemurs, including Indri Indri, Black and White ruffed Lemur and other wildlife
  • Enjoy lunch at the reserve’s restaurant and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • In the evening, a night walk in a small island closer of the reserve to spot the most endangered specie of lemurs, the Aye, Aye
  • Overnight at Akanin’ny nofy
  • Exploring the Pangalane Canal
  • Visit of a local village along the canal, observing and understanding the lifestyle of the local people
  • Enjoy lunch at the Palmarium restaurant an spending the rest of the day at leisure.

  • Driving to Mahambo, following the RN2 again, with its unique scenery
